Prejudice in Our Jokes
Prejudice in our jokes dishonors our nation of freedom and tolerance, it is hardly patriotic and mostly pathetic. When we find our jokes to be at the expense of others we might consider this statement: “Prejudiced jokes are a coward’s way of expressing a desire to be welcome in a big protective family of unthinking heartless people. Our response to them should be pity, and more kindness than they have found.” Rev David Mitchel Stow
I approve this message wholeheartedly.
