Better relationships are about good communication, communication not just between yourself and others, but within yourself as well.
Integrating more optimism into your life helps a lot, but you must find an optimistic integration between your abilities to think, care, and create, and your ability to feel your needs and feelings.
Learned helplessness surrounding needs and feelings inhibits better inner communication and stems from deprivations and traumas in a person’s life. The only way to undo such helplessness is to use forms of comfort coming from understanding, caring, and creative views in order to relive what caused your helplessness in connecting to your innermost self. This is what optimistic integration is all about, and when it is done you will have a greater freedom to create better relationships, and no one will need to “guide you” much after that, because you will know YOU, and you are the one most able to know yourself.
