Creativity means a lot of things. If it is real creativity it is the “mother of invention”. It doesn’t come from having no sense of where you would like to go or what problems you face. No real creativity can exist without a problem to be solved, and that problem needs to be clearly seen. This also requires views and challenges from many perspectives. No creativity can exist without motivation either. Necessity isn’t just the mother of invention it is the mother of the creativity that leads to that invention.
Practices that open us to real creativity aren’t just random or chaotic. They must exist within a framework. That framework must have a problem a goal fueled by need or strong desire. Valuable practices can include things like brainstorming where all possible ideas are expressed. This alone, however, doesn’t lead to real creativity. Such unbounded chaos will not invent. The purpose of creativity: to invent successfully.
Real creativity depends upon having a cut off where you stop inventing and start testing. This demands objectivity and fact checking. Music is a good example of creativity devoted to making our lives more pleasant and enjoyable as its object. Music plays with mood and feeling, rhythm, and surprise. Music is created with constant alterations of pleasing or motivating expressions around a theme. Poetry is similar to music in all these aspects. There is science behind music and science that guides its expression. Objectivity points clearly to an understanding and a sense of relationship between things, and a beginning and end to things. Creativity creates in pauses and rhythms, and by its nature isn’t perfect, but at the right time it is ready to fly. Waiting for perfection ignores the demands of a changing universe, there must be a time to stop the process and present the product: a time for a leader say “good enough”.
Leadership is necessary to creativity. We do indeed need someone to say “Enough this is good enough, we can begin testing or implementing our best idea or approach now.” Leadership is necessary to creativity. It is the overview of the limitations of time and resources that demand a decision. Those who are creative need to know when enough is enough, and in a group you will need a leader, a head writer etc. to frame the creativity and give it direction and an end point.
As one example, regarding the creation and distribution of messaging, there are two processes. One is the creation of a message and the other is the presentation of the message so created. Two committees might be beneficial. Because in the creation of a message we come to know what message should be presented, but the implementation of that message will take many forms in another creative process bounded by time and resources. Finally, someone must be authorized to say “enough” and give the “go ahead”. This leader decides on when to implement, and the timing and style of the final message.
Creativity as a process may have a slightly different set of definitions if you take each element of the process and call each one “creative”. I would have to say that such definitions cause one to wonder what is created. If some element leads to any creation, we might well ask: “Is the creation a useful invention?”
Truly, creativity can be all about helping us to feel better and appreciate life, but that is a goal, the desire or necessity fulfilled, that allowed us to know that real creativity was involved.
“Group think” is the bane of creativity. Therefor there must be a degree of separation between creation, implementation, and the decision to proceed. This separation can be in terms of time or separation of those working on the problem or problems confronted. I would suggest that when teams are used they must be separated and seen as equal contributors. One of these cannot be a “sub committee”. One person must give the final approval. The one able to approve the message is able to look at the entire process from outside of it. They should not be a member of one or more of the two teams.
Group thinking will always be a tendency no matter how you construct the process. It can be limited but not entirely eliminated. Real separation must allow a degree of conflict. However, the conflict, like the heat in a furnace for an engine, cannot be overheated, or it will self destruct. Eliminating conflict can be done in part by having those engaged in debate attempt to argue from the other side as well as their own. Compromises can then be made more efficiently and with greater positive impact.
I wish all well who would be creative, for with creativity we can create artful ways that can allow us to better appreciate life, cope with life, and bless the future.

Hear now the wonderful thanks if a great President.
Progress is not a product of a helpless heart, and if it’s not about progress, it’s not progressive.
This is what extreme capitalist and socialists both fail to see, that progress is about progress for everyone and those with the abilities to aid that progress should be rewarded.
How does this relate to disabilities?
All are disabled in various ways, but the biggest disability of all is learned helplessness around needs and feelings due to deprivations and traumas common in life. This is something that is not just a social political problem it is an individual problem. Because of this the progressive view is not understood well by some, and because of this the virtues based on objectivity, creativity, and empathy have their communication impaired. Why? Because these abilities cannot reach and inspire helpless hearts.
This is why I have endorsed social and emotional learning in classrooms taught at various levels and applied to changing situations that come with age.
We can’t ignore the disabled and the poor and the help they need and have the best most progressive society we could have.
Learning that all are disabled, that all are less than perfect, that we all need to work to unlearn our many forms of learned helplessness, this is also essential to a truly progressive progress oriented society that in the end benefits all.
This is also why I endorse Dr. Arthur Janov and Dr. France Janov in their work to help unlearn helplessness around needs and feelings. I also support Bruce Wilson the great medical science writer who supports Art and France in their work along with the truly progressive political science professor Peter G. Prontzos who brings the Primal perspective to politics and governance.
When the heart isn’t free the mind is enslaved and the people and the world suffer.

Change We Can Believe In
Believe! It’s time to believe again in an America for everyone, time to believe in what we can do, and to lift ourselves with virtuous love. Bernie Sanders is a hero for real and virtuous change in our political system. We need the change he is bringing and we must embrace it fully to help create the better world we all want.
We need change beyond what Barack Obama brought us, however noble it has been. We need more than a change that is just pulling us back from the brink of insanity and disaster. We need real progressive change, the depths of which run deep within the better more loving and more emotionally honest selves within us.
When the light within you is honest you will be full of a light sane and loving, forgiving and healing, that desires to punish no one but rather to heal souls. Dishonesty within a heart due to damaged faith in love is a darkness that rules with judgment and tyranny, that seeks to cast blame and never forgives from the heart. Only the honest cry of the heart can liberate us and remove the blindness that stops us from bringing lithe light of love to the hearts of others.
We need progress beyond perspectives that cast some as evil and some as good, beyond the foolish notion that reward and punishment creates anything more than hateful well behaved acts of politeness. We need a depth of change that takes us beyond “believing” without evidence, and beyond the fears that divide us as a nation, as nations, and as individuals.
Ending all of this division caused by fear and hate means that we must see and feel it within ourselves. When we seek to heal the fears between us we must find tears for the fears within ourselves, and when the angels of our virtues born of love sing songs of hope and courage, the skies of destiny will weep with a cleansing rain that will wash away all sadness and hate, and lift us rejoicing above all our fears.
What keeps us from winning a better future for all of us? Fear does, and we have thus nothing to fear but fear itself. How do we win? We win when we go beyond baptisms of our minds and find the baptism from within our hearts: tears for fears.
We have to feel the damaged faith in love within us, to know what we lost. We must know what we lost before we can grieve and let go. We must grieve and let go before we can forgive all involved from our hearts. And we must forgive from our hearts before we can forgive ourselves and become the love and the hero in life that love calls us to be.
It is this spirit I see in Bernie Sanders. Will we heed his call? Will we find the light of honest virtue that alone can light the way to a better world?
It is up to us. Help Bernie light the lights within hearts that alone can bring change we can believe in. Do it HERE: Help Bernie Sanders, our hero.
Your heart approves this message. Listen to it.

Bernie Sanders, will he win?
Bernie Sanders is the power of myth, the call of our age to the darkening injustice,
He is the voice of the people rising together for all that is right and just.
Look within yourself and hear his call to all that is great in you, to all that is great in our county, to all that is great in our world.
Answer back to power unjust and know that despair is not an option.
Hear the heavens break open in a new song of change and hope we can believe in.
The fire still burns,
the hope still lives,
the impossible hero still stands against the withering attacks of lies and injustice.
Stand up with him.
If you ever loved it when the under dog stood up for the people and won,
If you ever felt yourself fly in your heart when Clark Kent turned into Super Man,
If you ever felt the music of a love and courage that raised the down trodden to their feet,
and cheered while they were marching to victory against insurmountable odds,
if you ever cheered when the powerful and oppressive gave way to virtue and justice,
Stand up today and contribute to Bernie Sanders!
Stand up with Bernie today, Don’t look for other heroes to stand up, look within your heart and find the heart of a hero.

Myth comes from the heart and educates the mind. We cannot understand it without listening to our heart, our feelings. We see into our hearts not by will power or by any logic that leaves out the fact that our mind came after the evolution of our heart.
The Power of Myth
Not by might, not by power, not by will power, but by my spirit, by feeling, sayeth the heart, the Lord of the mind.
David “Mitch” Sotelo
This short statement, mirroring and explaining a statement in the Bible, was inspired by Dr. Arthur Janov, Dr. France Janov, Bruce Wilson, the great primally inspired medical writer, and Peter G. Prontzos, the primal heart and soul of progressive political wisdom.
We all, even as the imperfect human beings we are, owe so much to each other. Seeing with our hearts we can feel a love that makes the world go ’round. Listen with your heart, it’s the music that brings the tears, that heal the soul.
Feel and know a life and a love forever new. You cannot think to get there. It pleaseth the heart, the Lord of the mind, that the truth of life is hidden from those who think themselves wise, and revealed to the heart of a child. The powerful and the lowly will lie down together in peace, and… a little child shall lead them.
Will you let the child in you lead you to the truth that will set you free? He who the son of love set’s free is free indeed.
The power of myth is only understood clearly by the heart. It is the greatest power of all, the power that removes power, the enemy of the heart, from the throne.
Who will you serve? As for me, and my house of friends, we will serve the lord of the mind, the spirit of love.

Primaries, should they be “open”?
Open primaries are not a good idea. I am for having multiple Parties on our ballots. I am against the concept of “open primaries”. Open primaries place all candidates on the same ballot. The top two in terms of votes are on the ballot in the general election.
First of all I would like to know something about any candidate running as their are so very many, and so very many positions to fill. Party affiliation tells me something about every candidate on the ballot.
Secondly I am afraid that with many running more and more might be elected solely by name recognition, or perceived name recognition.
Thirdly this approach might mean that the dominant political affiliation in a state would garner more candidates to run thus ending up with a situation where only the top two Democrats or Republicans would be the only choices voters would have in the general election.
Plus how could this work in a presidential year election with some states having one of each party on the ballot and some states having the top two candidates perhaps from the same party?
Real choice in politics should come from having multiple parties on the ballot. That way we know something about each candidate from their party affiliation. Having a multi-party affiliation would tend to mean more than it does now with just a two party set up.
We could further democratize this situation by having only signatures on a petition as the sole way that any party can appear on a general election ballot. Only signatures on a petition should determine the placing of candidates on ballots in primary elections. No money should be allowed in getting a candidate to appear on a ballot. All parties with sufficient signatures for all their candidates, and with contested races, should be allowed to hold primaries.
Caucuses are important ways in which political party members communicate between themselves. They allow party members to educate themselves regarding candidates and politics in general. Caucuses should not be done away with, just made more democratic.
Taking this approach we could have issue based political parties that could help make politics more issue based, and give voters a real sense of the intentions of candidates.
There are many issues that a majority of all Americans agree about which get lost in the back room politics of the two major parties. This can reduce such issues to notes in some political platform about which almost no one in the general voting public would know.
Thus I believe that multiple parties on a ballot and removing money from the equation of who is a candidate is a far better solution. This way we can better democratize and improve our government than by using an open primary approach.

Light: Conquering the Dark Side
When seeking the light of virtue, we must conquer our darkness. Democrats and progressives around the world are motivated by this quest, the most progressive have felt the darkness in themselves and found the light within them.
Everyone has a dark side. Many know of it. Few have felt it. Those who have felt it feel only its power. Some have healed from it and brought the light of day to who they were, who they became, who they are, and have lit the joy of the innocence in their deepest selves. Behind the pain that keeps them from living life fully as their genuine selves lies their ties to virtue, their renewable faith in life and love: their optimistic intelligence.
Those who walk in their darkness are ruled by the desire to punish instead of heal, to blame instead of understand, to fear instead of love, to see an enemy in the deepest heart of those who they have come to fear. They love war more than diplomacy, greed more than the joy of others, or the love of others. They fear change, they rest uneasy in their skin, they are allergic to life and to progress.
Those who are on the path that heals the darkness love progress, and healing, and building solid ground for trust. They are progressives, they are those more liberal with love than desiring of defense, for they see the friend in the deepest heart of everyone.
When the Democratic Party, or the more progressive parties in any land, strive to seek their deepest soul and highest virtue, they must return and feel the darkness that is the blindness in their vision, and stand solid for progressive virtues. They must embrace and love the progressive mind that lies shimmering with real hope and potential in the hearts of all. They must feel the hopelessness, the helplessness, within themselves. They must unlearn it and rise, rise with the joy of life that conquers the fear of dying, that lifts up all around, and breathes life into the darkness of despair.
The Democrats are now in a great internal battle, deciding how much of their message can be brought to the nation they love, but in the end they must and will rise together with the same optimistic faith in all humanity and life, the same faith that unites them.
Blazing into the darkness of fearful hearts with tolerance and love, and conquering the urge to punish with the power to heal and forgive and come together, Democrats will bless this nation and this world once again, and be the reason others will see us truly as one nation united by love, a light on hill, calling to the lights in every land “Let there be peace, let there be justice, let there be rivers clean and skies shining with hope. Rise with us, we are one. Rise with us together for we are one family. Rise and bless the children of all the earth. Rise and be free. Embracing our higher destiny. Together let us rise and sing a song that will make the heavens smile and the emptiness full, and every child to dance.”
Let the progressive mind in every optimistic heart be free, Democrats will hold the torch up high that will light the way. We who are first citizens of the world then citizens of our great nation and lovers of every family, we salute you, whoever you are, with the hope and the promise that is you.
Awaken with us, join us, and let our world be free from hate and fear, and free in deeds of virtue that will shine through the ages. Join us in our journey, help us, as we help you, and let us truly make America, not great again, but greater still.

“Slave? Who me?” Yes, as an employee and often as a voter or as a member of any minority, you often are. Greed actually makes a slave out of everyone, even the rich, for it is an addiction that cuts the full enjoyment of life.
Today we still hear a veiled desire to promote enslaving employees by using many “dog whistle” terms, terms that promote hate, bigotry, insensitivity and greed. Increasingly employees are referred to using terms that actually mean “slave labor”. We hear these terms against everyone with more pigment in their skin than another group. We hear see them used against workers in the signs that read “the customer is always right” (in any trade situation either trading partner can be wrong). We hear such terms used against women in the praise for “motherhood” without mentioning “fatherhood”, which is a thin cover for “a woman’s place is in the home”.
Veiled oppression, the desire to enslave, is heard also in how we do not speak of employees as trading partners. We hear this repression again, when when some are calling workers “associates”, yet denying them the right to organize as any other trading partners do on a regular basis.
Our society is rife with the desire of the greedy to elevate themselves with all kinds of false claims in order to enslave others. They use the insanity of prejudice, the ranking of schools of higher learning, and the division of lesser paid classes to achieve their aims.
Those greedy at the top sell their greedy system of control over the economy and the government as a good thing. Their receptive audience consists of the politically illiterate steeped in learned helplessness and burdened the poor self images derived from such helplessness. They encase their poisonous package of control in the hope dope message that those with less can get ahead by hard work alone. This “work ethic” is yet another “dog whistle” term used to keep financial control, through a very rigged economic game, in place.
Here is how you will hear the greedy controllers of the rigged economic system, and it’s lackeys, (who want an employee or voter to be their slave), present their bad deal to voters and employees:
(First their presentation to voters.)
“What will you have today dear political customer? Let’s see, we have greed and we have greed light, and we highly recommend either the greed or classic greed rather than the light version. Keep working hard while we build our business all by ourselves without any help from you. Oh, and by the way, the new greed light is greed, and the greed is real “free trade”.”
(And now their presentation to employees.)
“Out of the generosity of our hearts we will call you family, and you know of course that family doesn’t need a union, only real trading partners get to organize to increase their profit. Hey, don’t worry your little heads about it, we will “take care of you”. Have you seen our catastrophic health care plan? Oh yes, we give you that for free! Now off to your chores chillens, and don’t complain, we have microphones in the restrooms and we check what you say online, and by the way we will change your hours around as we see fit. Also don’t forget that you, yes you, can be a manager, someone so much more important that hourly wage earners! Yes, you too can be salaried! You will get to work hard in our growing team of hard working managers. You will get to show your work ethic even more so as a manager, we will even give you a free phone for us to call you.”
Now we can see plainly that this political game is more than rigged, it is insidious, and ultimately insane. A work ethic that gives you no time for your children and family is hardly a virtue, it is an abuse. We always have to be aware that greed ultimately makes a slave out of everyone, for if you oppress others you repress your ability to enjoy life. Why? Because you can’t fully enjoy your heaven next to anyone else’s hell.
Now a side note:
Bernie Sanders may not win the nomination of the Democratic Party but his revolution cannot be allowed to die. Hopefully, if Hillary wins she will start to feel the BERN herself and get rid of her big money backers, and make Bernie her V.P. I am sure he would be gracious enough to allow her the same privilege if he wins.
Let’s begin the shift back to the saner populist progressive middle ground. The far right isn’t right and selling “greed light” only cedes the victory to “greed classic”, which then will plummet further into “greed insane”.
Remember, when unfair trade is sold as free trade, it’s not at all “the real thing”, even if you share it with the whole world and sing cheerfully over all the mainstream media channels promoting it.
Regarding free trade: the real thing doesn’t make you a slave.
